Tuition Fees and Funding

Students accepted into a Doctorate Program at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile must consider payment of the Tuition Fee, which corresponds to the annual fee established for each of our programs.


The minimum documentation required for admission to any of our doctoral programs is as follows:

  • To apply for a Doctoral Program, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent in the case of a foreign degree) and/or a Master’s degree.
  • Academic transcripts from previous university studies
  • Research proposal or statement of purpose
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Interview (in person or via videoconference)

In addition to the aforementioned requirements, the Doctoral Committee of each program may, if deemed necessary, request additional documentation or require applicants to undertake complementary activities as part of the evaluation process. Interested candidates are encouraged to consult the detailed information available in our program section.
